Birthday title: Luau Party
Description: A party which is meant to bring all the best that comes with food, family and friends. Laugh, chat and hula dance the night away - you're on Hawaiian time now. :)
It's also the semi-finals night for the World Cup! :) be awake and party thru the night!
Dress code/theme: True aloha fashion with a flower lei and a kiss on the cheek. Let all the ladies feel beautiful with flowers for their hair. Forgo the fake leis and invest in fresh single flowers. Hibiscus hard to find? Orchids too expensive? Carnations will do. (we'll go get flowers together!!!! :)) Kick off your shoes and put on some rubber flip flops! :) Replace cups and plates with coconut cups and pineapple plates. Decorate with multi-color lantern lights, bamboo reeds, tiki torches and hula skirts. :) Guys, Hawaiian prints, please!
Drink of the day: Mai-tai or pina colada bar with tons of ice and all the fixins. Garnishing with pineapples, oranges, limes, cherries and mint. Wont forget the umbrellas for the drinks too! :)Mai-Tais
• 1 oz. Royal Hawaiian Light Rum, or any light rum.
• 1 oz. Demerara Rum (Lemon Hart 86)
• 1 oz. Orange Curacao (Bols)
• Dash French Orgeat Syrup
• Dash Rock Candy Syrup
• Juice of half a Lime
• 1/4 oz. Lemon Juice
• Pineapple, Orange and Guava Juice
Fill large (14 ounce) glass with ingredients, then add crushed ice and juices. Garnish with mint leaves and perhaps fruit on a skewer. (my bro will settle all the drinks!!!)Woohoo!! all planned!!!!! :)
So girls, get ready your bikinis, flower leis and flipflops!!
